Hamyeol x Olympia: More than 30 days of cultural connection, knowledge sharing & Vietnam–Korea friendship

13 October, 2025

Continuing the journey of cross-border connection and learning, last week, students from The Olympia Schools warmly welcomed their friends from Hamyeol Girls’ Middle School (Korea) for the 4th annual Cultural and Academic Exchange Program between the two schools.

With the theme “How can we make our city a better place to live?”, the 1-month online and 3 in-person days at the Purple School offered a vibrant blend of learning, experience, and cultural exchange:

- Meeting, bonding, and discovering the beauty of Vietnamese and Korean traditions through interactive games and team activities.

- Joining English and Music classes to strengthen collaboration skills, creativity, and self-expression.

- Working together to prepare for the Showcase, where students presented their ideas for building “a livable city” — becoming active changemakers in their communities.

Wrapping up the journey with a cultural trip to Bat Trang Pottery Village, where students explored Vietnamese craftsmanship and said goodbye in a warm, heartfelt atmosphere.

Each thoughtfully designed activity was an opportunity for students to broaden their global perspective, embrace cultural diversity, and nurture a spirit of curiosity, empathy, and creativity.

Through this program, Olympia and Hamyeol continue to write their shared story of knowledge, friendship, and meaningful journeys beyond borders.

Parents and students — stay tuned for more inspiring international exchange experiences from the "Purple School"!
