Parenting is a journey filled with love but also many challenges. One of the most challenging stages kicks in when children enter primary school—a time of endless questions, curiosity about the world, and budding emotions. Have you ever been caught off guard by your child’s unexpected questions? "Mom, where did I come from?, Dad, why are boys different from girls? Why can't I do this, but he/she can?"

These innocent yet profound questions reveal a world waiting to be understood. While everyday conversations can sometimes be tricky, discussing topics like gender and emotional development often makes parents even more hesitant. How can we talk openly with our children while ensuring the conversation remains age-appropriate? How do we become a trustworthy companion in their journey of growth?... 

Understanding these concerns, Olympia Primary School warmly invites parents to a special Open Day event: 

UNDERSTANDING WITH LOVE – EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND TALKING TO CHILDREN ABOUT GENDER

This interactive session will provide parents with the opportunity to:

• Learn effective communication strategies for primary-aged children
• Understand children's psychological and emotional development, including their curiosity about gender
• Practice active listening and age-appropriate conversations about gender and sexuality
