High school Olympians explore careers and open pathways to the future at career exploration 2025
10 April, 2025
What career suits me?
What does this job actually involve?
What does the future of this field look like?
Questions like these, arising naturally along the journey of growing up, are what inspired Career Exploration - Olympia’s largest annual career orientation event, held consistently for over seven years for high school students from grades 9 to 12.
With the goal of providing a comprehensive, multidimensional, and approachable picture of the professional world, Career Exploration 2025 brought together more than 50 experts from diverse sectors such as technology, finance, education, psychology, arts, media, and real estate. Beyond the traditional career paths, the event also introduced students to emerging and exciting fields such as 3D design, therapy and counseling, tech startups, publishing, crypto, music space management, and homestay operations.
What makes this event even more special is that many of the over 50 participating professionals are Olympia parents, alumni, and close partners – individuals who have wholeheartedly joined hands to open up a brighter career future for the next generation of Olympians.
At the event, these professionals not only shared knowledge about their respective careers, but also offered honest insights into their professional lives - from pivotal decisions and unforgettable experiences to meaningful lessons learned along their own journeys of growth. One-on-one mentoring sessions in the Career Fair, along with in-depth talks by industry clusters, created an open, genuine space for students to better understand themselves and the professional landscape around them.
Career Exploration 2025 didn’t conclude with a single definitive answer. Instead, it opened doors – to possibilities, to pathways, and to a wealth of inspiration – empowering students to take the next step in shaping their identities and choosing their futures.
