Last week, a delegation of teachers from Thailand, representing Sarasas Affiliated Schools and Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology, visited Olympia to exchange and learn from teaching experiences. In a previous letter to the “Purple School,” the Thai delegation expressed: “Olympia is well-regarded in Vietnam for its quality in management and teaching.” Sarasas Affiliated Schools and Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology aspire to learn from Olympia to enhance the quality of education at their institutions.
In a warm welcome to the delegates, Olympia’s teachers shared comprehensive experiences into the school’s curriculum, teaching methods, and especially in teaching STEM. Listening to passionate discussions led by Mr. Tran Khanh, Deputy Head of the Olympia Science Department, the Thai teachers also attended two STEM classes with Olympia’s 8th and 9th graders. Throughout these lessons, they engaged with students, discussing projects designed by the students themselves, the process, and valuable lessons they derived from their work.Witnessing Olympia students’ enthusiasm in a modern learning environment with tasks that foster creativity and practical problem-solving, the Thai teachers were deeply impressed and particularly amazed by the students’ confidence and intelligence. Following the exchange, many teachers shared that they gained valuable insights into teaching methods and were inspired to continuously innovate and bring engaging, enriching lessons to their students.
