Olympians explore the "Power of Geography" with experts
01 July, 2026
Recently, Grade 10-11 Olympians joined a talk on “The Power of Geography” with guest speakers Du Ville - Head of the Wallonia - Brussels Delegation in Vietnam and President of GADIF (an international organization focused on geostrategy and diplomacy), and An Đức Việt - specialist at the National Assembly’s Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs.
Going beyond theory, the speakers’ practical insights helped students engage with current global issues - from the role of international transport routes such as maritime, aviation and logistics, to key bottlenecks impacting the global economy and daily life. The Q&A session also created opportunities for students to directly discuss Vietnam’s position in the international context.
Through the session, Olympians not only broadened their understanding but also began shaping a global mindset grounded in Vietnamese identity. At the same time, they further developed analytical and systems thinking skills, gaining a clearer view of how geography connects with today’s global challenges - building confidence to explore and engage with an ever-changing world.
