A night of musical and what remains behind the lights

21 April, 2026

2 nights at Au Co Theatre, nearly 1000 audience members witnessed the first premiere night of Romeo & Juliet. The performance marked a meaningful milestone in a 9-month journey of Olympia students and teachers — a journey shaped not only by the stage, but by countless moments of trial, error, and transformation.

Each role is a journey into a character. Minh Chau (Juliet) shared that stepping into the role allowed her not only to analyze the text, but to truly live the story — to feel every choice, conflict, and hidden layer of the character. Every moment on stage reflects months of unseen effort: late rehearsals, deep discussions, pressure, tears, and even moments of doubt. Through this process, students learned to manage emotions, collaborate, and push beyond their own limits.

Romeo & Juliet is no longer just a literary work — it becomes a story retold through the emotions of today’s youth: tender, powerful, and courageous enough to question long-standing prejudices. All proceeds will support building a library for Nhu Khe Primary School, continuing this artistic journey through meaningful community impact. A performance ends, but the journey continues — in the choices students carry forward, in how they understand themselves, work with others, and see the world.
