Shark Tank K9: When school ideas take the entrepreneurial stage

The Shark Tank season for Grade 9 Olympians has returned with an exciting “investment pitching” atmosphere and a series of creative ideas inspired by real-life challenges familiar to students.
Inspired by the reality TV show of the same name, Shark Tank is an interdisciplinary project that gives Olympians the opportunity to learn English and Economics & Law in a creative, hands-on way. Working in teams, students develop products or services that address everyday problems, build business plans, conduct market research, and directly persuade the “Sharks” to invest in their ideas.

At the Final Round, the five most outstanding Grade 9 projects impressed the judges with their creativity and practical approaches. “VeriLearn” focuses on improving academic authenticity through AI-content detection technology; “StudyFlow” develops an app that supports students’ study management and emotional well-being; “Magic Energy Bar” offers a convenient nutrition solution to help students stay energized throughout the school day; “ReBrew” experiments with eco-friendly uniforms made from coffee grounds; while “SkyRest” aims to improve students’ naptime experience at school.

The Olympians’ projects, with their creative approaches and practical applications, received high praise and valuable feedback from experienced “Sharks”: Ms. Linh Nguyen - Founder of LinhUK Overseas Education & Consulting JSC and CHOI Workshop Edu & Arts; Mr. Hoang Anh - Country Manager of EF (Education First) Vietnam; and Mr. Leonid Kanev - Deputy Head of Olympia’s English Department.
More than just an academic competition, Shark Tank has truly been a journey for Olympians to learn how to observe problems, turn knowledge into action, strengthen their critical thinking and confidence, and create meaningful memories with friends through teamwork.

Congratulations to all Olympians for an exciting Shark Tank season! We hope the spirit of daring to think, daring to try, and proactively seeking solutions will continue to accompany you on your future journeys.
