Olympia hosts a conference on promoting digital transformation and STEM education in schools

On March 23rd, at Olympia Schools, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training organized a workshop on "Promoting Digital Transformation and STEM Education towards Smart Education Orientation in High Schools and Continuing Education in the City". The workshop was attended by 500 delegates including: leaders and experts from the Department of Secondary Education, Department of Continuing Education of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET); leaders and experts from Hanoi Department of Education and Training, experts, educational administrators and teachers from many high schools in Hanoi.
In his opening speech, Dr. Tran The Cuong - Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training - said that this workshop aims to promote digital transformation and STEM education in schools. "This is an inevitable trend, not only a requirement from the labor market but also an important condition contributing to the development of each school," emphasized Dr. Cuong. He also said that at today's workshop, teachers will be updated with information and knowledge about information technology (IT) and STEM education to improve their professional capacity and practice ability in educational activities.
In more than 3 hours of the program, at the main conference room and the specialized topic rooms, the delegates listened to many presentations on experiences and solutions for effective application of IT in teaching and learning and educational management. With many years of success in digital transformation and being continuously recognized by Microsoft Global as a "Showcase School", Olympia also brought very elaborate and practical presentations. The presentation on "Data Processing Toolkit to Support Student Education and School Management" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam Hien - Ms. Nguyen Hong Duyen - Mr. Tran Minh Son; as well as the discussions of Ms. Dang Thu Huong - Mr. Nguyen Phuong Duy, Mr. Tran Khanh - Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy on the digital learning materials system and the experience of using some IT platforms in teaching Math - Science, were positively received by the delegates.
Highly evaluating the results of the workshop, the Director of the Department of Secondary Education (MOET) - Nguyen Xuan Thanh and the leaders of Hanoi Department of Education and Training suggested that schools should pay attention to and choose appropriate solutions to effectively implement STEM education and apply IT in their organizations. The ultimate goal is how to train generations of students who are dynamic, creative, and meet the requirements of the new era.
