Congratulations to Nguyen Hoang Bao Chi for winning two gold medals at the Southeast Asia short track trophy

As one of the eight athletes on the National Junior Speed Skating Team, Nguyen Hoang Bao Chi from class 4A2 brilliantly secured two gold medals in the 333m and 500m events at the 2024 Southeast Asia Short Track Trophy in the Philippines. She was also one of the top two performers from the Vietnamese team at this year’s Southeast Asia Short Track Trophy.
The Southeast Asia Short Track Trophy is the largest speed skating competition in Southeast Asia, held annually under the patronage of the International Skating Union (ISU) and the Asian Skating Union (ASU). This year’s tournament brought together over 90 athletes from 10 countries and territories, including China, Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore, Mongolia, Hong Kong, India, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
To be chosen as a national representative at this prestigious regional competition, Olympian Nguyen Hoang Bao Chi had previously won numerous gold and silver medals over many years in the National Speed Skating and Roller Championships.
