Glocal Connect | The journey from a startup to a publicly listed company
10 October, 2025
How can a small business grow and make its way to the stock exchange?
Last Friday, members of the Business Club and all 10th graders had the chance to explore that journey in a special session with guest speaker Nguyen Tuan Anh – Founder of FinPeace, a familiar name in the field of personal finance and investment.

During nearly two hours of engaging learning, Olympians broadened their horizons: from understanding what an IPO is and why it matters to a company, to grasping the rigorous requirements for being officially listed on Vietnam’s stock exchange. They also learned about real challenges that startups face along the way – from revenue growth and fundraising to brand building. In particular, the role of technology and artificial intelligence was highlighted as an indispensable “companion,” helping businesses become more transparent, efficient, and appealing to investors.

Beyond knowledge of Economics and Law, the session also sparked a sense of responsibility, long-term ambition, and integrity in business – a lasting foundation for these “future entrepreneurs.”
Our gratitude to guest speaker Nguyen Tuan Anh for bringing a vivid and practical perspective, giving Olympians the chance to “touch” the critical steps a company must take before going public. That journey also mirrors their own path: from humble beginnings at school to the aspiration to grow, reach farther, and flourish.
What are the thoughts of parents, teachers, and Olympians from other grades about this special class of Grade 10 and the Business Club? Share your reflections, your own learning experiences in Economics & Law, or suggest engaging study methods in the comments below!
