Grade 5 & 6 Olympians connect with traditional values through their visit to Van Phuc Silk Village
28 March, 2026
In the final days of March, Grade 5 and Grade 6 Olympians had the opportunity to explore and reconnect with the cultural values of traditional craft villages at Van Phuc Silk Village. Here, students were excited to learn about the long-standing history of the village, as well as the intricate processes involved in creating a complete silk product. From the delicate threads spun by silkworms to the weaving of soft, elegant silk fabrics, every step amazed and fascinated them as they observed it firsthand.
Beyond learning, Olympians also had the chance to experience one stage of the production process, gaining a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship, patience, and skill of the artisans.
Through this trip, it is hoped that students will develop a greater appreciation, love, and pride for the nation’s traditional cultural values, while nurturing a sense of responsibility to preserve and promote Vietnam’s craft villages. These experiences will also serve as the first seeds inspiring career interests and passions in each student’s journey of growth.
