The interesting books that olympians read in the subject of economics and law

04 January, 2025

In this semester, Olympians from grades 6 to12 participated in a special activity in the subjects of Civic Education (for middle school) and Economics & Law (for high school): Reading books and writing reflection essays. This activity helped them explore books on politics, economics, law, culture, and lifestyle - topics that many of Olympians had not previously known or been interested in.
Through reading and reflective writing, Olympians not only expanded their knowledge but also honed their critical thinking and analytical skills. Each book became a special “teacher”, helping the Olympians gain a deeper understanding of the world around them and the relationship between theoretical knowledge and real-life practice.
In order to answer the five challenging questions in the reflection assignment, Olympians had to “dig deep” into the content of the book, connect it with what they had learned, and then analyze and critique the author's arguments. They also proposed new solutions and creative perspectives for the issues discussed in the works.
This activity served as both a “bridge” of knowledge that brought the reading culture closer to the Olympians and a method for them to develop self-learning habits, sharpen their critical thinking, and improve their writing skills.
