Olympians grade 3 spreading love and happiness into the winter wind

25 December, 2024

"When we share love,
We double happiness,
Cherishing every joy,
To bring more smiles."
(Linh An – 3A2)
These heartfelt verses were written by the Olympians of Grade 3 as part of the project "Seeding in the Winter Wind." Expanding beyond the framework of an interdisciplinary project, "Seeding in the Winter Wind" this year has become a special charity project by the students, with the aim of sharing love, nurturing empathetic hearts, and teaching students about giving and doing kind deeds.
With their skilled hands and creative minds, the Olympians of Grade 3 have created beautiful postcards carrying messages of humane connection. Each postcard features a bright, lively illustration alongside a pure poem, conveying the love of the Olympians.
After a month of preparation, with the support of teachers and parents, the postcards along with small gifts that the Olympians collectively donated and carefully wrapped have been "sent with the winter wind" to children in the pediatric ward of Hospital 103 and to several libraries in schools facing difficulties across the country as part of the "Hundred Libraries - One Dream" program. Some postcards were also sent to cafes where people could come to admire, use, and support as they might wish. "Small hands do small tasks," and at these locations, the Olympians also performed the song "If I Were Lifted To The Sky One Day" to spread love and positive messages to the community.
Moved by the thoughtful gifts and warm feelings from the children of the "Purple school", Colonel - Doctor Lê Thị Thúy Hằng, Head of the Pediatric Department at 103 Hospital, expressed her gratitude. She said that the staff and pediatric patients of the department deeply appreciate and cherish the kindness of the Olympians from Grade 3. "Even though the children are young, they have already learned the value of giving through kind and benevolent actions, which is truly admirable. I would like to thank the school, the teachers, and the parents for instilling these beautiful values in the children.”
"Seeding in the Winter Wind" will undoubtedly be a memorable experience for the Olympians to gain more life experience, become more responsible for themselves and life.
