Olympia mental health week 2026: Behind the screen, we choose kindess
26 March, 2026
Mental well-being has always been one of the essential pillars at Olympia. Every year in mid-March, the SGO Student Council collaborates with the Olympia Psychology Department to organize Mental Health Week. The program aims to help students recognize potential risks in the digital environment; understand how social media and online relationships influence their emotions, behaviors, and self-esteem; and equip them with skills to protect themselves and seek timely support when needed.
Throughout the week, students participated in a diverse series of activities:
Online workshops – where they listened, shared, and openly discussed how to build healthy online relationships, understand personal boundaries, and practice respect and kindness in digital communication.
Experiential stations – allowing students to temporarily step away from daily stressors, pressures, and negative triggers while practicing healthy coping strategies.
Mental health exhibitions – showcasing students’ creative projects that promoted messages of safety, responsibility, and empathy in the digital world.
Through these activities, Olympia conveys a clear message: students are never alone, and they can always reach out to teachers, friends, and family for support whenever challenges arise. More importantly, every small action online — from a single click to an “innocent” comment — can leave an impact on the person on the other side of the screen. Recognizing this helps students interact online with greater responsibility and compassion.
