Olympians embarked on an immersion program in Ho Chi Minh City

In May, Olympians from the Olympia International Diploma Program (OIDP) had the opportunity to visit Ho Chi Minh City, where they lived and studied together at three major companies: Tan Cang STC, Pencil Group, and Doodle Design. This was part of the regular monthly corporate immersion program. During this trip, the students had the opportunity to explore and learn about the industries they are interested in - Logistics, Marketing, and Design.
At Tan Cang STC, the students visited the port, inspection house, and CFS warehouse; they gained a basic understanding of the operational chain in the maritime sector through the sharing of experts. Ms. Doan Thi Huynh Ngoc, Program Development Specialist, shared that this is an opportunity for students to better understand Logistics and career orientation in the future. Tan Cang STC is also very willing to support students who want to learn more about the Port, import-export and Logistics.
Leaving Tan Cang STC, the Olympians continued to visit and experience Pencil Group and Doodle Design. During their visits, the students listened to experts share about the core values of people working in Marketing, their working experience in Design; the challenges facing these competitive industries. In particular, the students also had the opportunity to present their ideas about communication campaigns and make suggestions to businesses.
In addition to studying at businesses, the Olympians also had the opportunity to visit RMIT University campus and get acquainted with the university learning environment. The Olympians also visited famous places in Ho Chi Minh City, exploring and learning about the culture of this vibrant city. Olympian Nhat Quang excitedly shared after the trip: “The experience journey in Ho Chi Minh City helped me realize many interesting things about culture and history through the places I visited. The more I learn about this city, the more interesting I find it and I want to come back many more times!”
The trip to Ho Chi Minh City ended with many unforgettable memories for the Olympians. Through this, they have accumulated a lot of useful information for their future career paths. The trip also helped them to develop their soft skills, teamwork skills, and communication skills.
