31 August, 2024
Last week, Mr. Joseph Hanrahan, President of Marianapolis Preparatory School- ranked among top 3 schools in Connecticut, USA—visited Vietnam to meet and work with the leadership of The Olympia Schools. This visit is part of the annual meetings between Olympia and its partner schools, focusing on the American Certificate Elective courses that have been implemented since 2018.
During his visit, Mr. Hanrahan also met and talked to Olympians who are currently taking these courses at Olympia. Friendly and approachable, the President of Marianapolis Preparatory School shared advantages of the program and the academic pathway for them. Over the years, many academic projects in subjects like psychology, sociology, and others have been implemented between the two schools. Students have received guidance and support from both career counseling offices in choosing their fields of study and planning their development paths for university. Next week, 12th-grade Olympians enrolled in these courses will travel to Marianapolis to complete their senior year.
In the near future, both schools will offer new learning experiences for Olympians. One of the upcoming activities in September is the first competition focused on technology and sustainable development for students in grades 8-11, conducted entirely in English. Marianapolis will send experts to participate directly in this competition.
