The first 20 libraries of the "100 libraries - one dream" project have been completed
04 April, 2025
After tireless journeys to spread the love of reading in under-resourced schools, this month marks a meaningful milestone: four new libraries in Thai Nguyen and Thanh Hoa have completed the first 20 libraries of the “100 Libraries – One Dream” project.
Library No.17: La Hien Primary School Library (Thai Nguyen)
Nearly 60 seventh-grade Olympians joined hands to bring a new library to La Hien Primary School. Alongside freshly printed books, learning tools, and educational games, this trip also brought a special gift: a 65-inch smart TV to help local students access more enriching content. The Olympians also hosted a vibrant Reading Festival with 12 interactive booths—from board games and online quizzes to inspiring storytelling sessions—making books and reading more engaging and joyful for the children of La Hien.
Library No.18: Nga Trung Secondary School Library (Thanh Hoa)
The visit to Nga Trung Secondary School was made even warmer and more meaningful with over 300 pre-loved books donated by sixth-grade Olympians. In addition, they prepared hundreds of new titles, school supplies, and stationery, transforming a small corner into a vibrant library space—nurturing a culture of reading and planting seeds of dreams. The journey was made even more complete with 20 scholarships, heartfelt gifts from Olympia parents, presented directly to local students.
Library No.19: Cam Gia Primary School Library (Thai Nguyen)
Excitement lit up the faces of Cam Gia Primary School students as they received over 800 books and a variety of sports and educational toys donated by ninth-grade Olympians. These gifts were the proud results of fundraisers held by the students during Olympia’s Sportweek and Tet Fair.
Library No.20: Tan Thinh Secondary School Library (Thai Nguyen)
Continuing the journey of knowledge-sharing in Thai Nguyen, the 20th library of the project was completed thanks to the efforts of twelfth-grade Olympians. This trip brought a newly built reading space and shelves filled with skill-building and literary books to Tan Thinh Secondary School - an outcome of months of fundraising, donations, and collaboration between students and parents.
20 libraries - each a footprint, a story, a dream taking flight.
Behind every book given lie hundreds of hours spent fundraising, organizing events, packing donations, and above all, the heartfelt dedication of the Olympians. The journey of “100 Libraries – One Dream” continues, carrying with it the hope that every book, every space for reading, will sow another seed of hope for children in need.
