The super creative "pens" of olympia elementary school

Inside every child lies a unique universe filled with magical fairytales. This creativity was on full display when the “pens” of Olympia showcased their talent in the Creative Writing Contest for Grade 4, leaving teachers and parents amazed by the boundless imagination of our Olympians.

Given the same prompt - to write a story about the journey to retrieve the voice of a flower in a mysterious forest - Duy Khoi (4A1) took readers on an adventure crossing the perilous Da-ban-nai River full of deadly traps, and onto a vibrant rainbow bridge adorned with countless butterflies. Meanwhile, Bao Nguyen (4A2) blended elements of adventure and science fiction into his fascinating story. “The flower took the voices of other flowers because it wanted to revive its friend. In the end, the flower wasn’t evil; it just wanted to stay close to its friend,” wrote Le Phuong Linh in her deeply touching narrative.
Although they shared the same prompt and foundational knowledge provided by their teachers, each Olympian created a completely different world within their stories. This Creative Writing Contest became a perfect opportunity for the students to unleash their imagination, express themselves freely in the vast “field” of literature, and develop their language and critical thinking skills. By learning in such an inspiring and liberating way, the contest has helped Grade 4 Olympians fall in love with Vietnamese Language Arts while gaining deeper insights.
