Our main curriculum

The International Diploma Program at Olympia school is the application of the superior 3:1 learning model: 3 years in Vietnam and 1 year in the USA. In the first 3 years in Vietnam, students will study both Vietnam’s high school program with teachers at The Olympia Schools and USA’s high school program online with teachers at Marianapolis high school.

The structure of this program helps students build a solid knowledge, skill foundation and become stable, more mature within the first years of high school. In addition, they will have chances to know and develop in the international learning program through online courses in the first 3 years and 1 year of overseas study at Marianapolis high school.

Within 4 years, students need to complete at least 12 Credits (International Diploma program); at least 24 ( International program) and 1 semester at Marianapolis high school to meet the graduation requirements and receive American Baccalaureate Diploma.

Education program issued by Ministry of Education and Training

Students will study 6 subjects under the program issued by Ministry of Education and Training,
Including:

• Literature
• History
• Geography
• IT
• Physical Education (PE)
• National Defense and Security Education. This will ensure the fundamental knowledge according to general education standard and understanding about language, culture foundation and Vietnam’s values, as well as the pride of Vietnamese cultural values.

Program in partnership with Marinapoils high school

In 1 year at Marianapolis high school, students will approach and be challenged with integrated subjects under American general education, which are completely taught in English. This will broaden students’ knowledge, increase their English proficiency, as well as train the abilities of overcoming challenges, flexible integration with the international environment.

• Biology (in English)

Marianapolis online program

In 3 school years at Olympia, students in the International Diploma program will study university- and career-oriented subjects taught directly by teachers from Marianapolis high school via Online learning. Owing to that, students will have chances to approach new knowledge in multiple aspects, communication skill in academic environments, critical thinking and problem-solving skill.

Especially, after 3 years of online learning with teachers from Marianapolis high school, students are best prepared to participate in and conquer any international learning environment. Curriculum, methodology and evaluation of the online learning program are designed by the academic department and native students from Marianapolis high school, with the modification and professional counseling of Olympia’s academic department in order to be suitable for Vietnamese learning subjects and environment.
