Drawing the next chapter of "a hundred libraries – one dream"

15 December, 2024

The project “A Hundred Libraries – One Dream” continues its journey to spread knowledge and promote a reading culture in underprivileged schools. Recently, the project reached Hoa Binh, Son La, and Thanh Hoa, delivering thousands of books, educational tools, and valuable equipment, transforming simple library spaces into well-furnished, inviting places filled with books and children’s laughter.
In Thanh Hoa, over 1,000 books, 150 art supplies, and hundreds of educational toys were donated to two schools: Thuong Xuan Town Primary School and Quan Hoa High School, with a budget of 50 million VND—an invaluable gift from Olympia parents.
In Son La, 11th-grade Olympians traveled over 200 kilometers to bring 2,000 books and essential school supplies to Tuong Ha Primary and Secondary School in Phu Yen District. They personally assembled bookshelves and set up every corner of the library, infusing it with love and care. The trip was not only a meaningful community service but also a priceless lesson in empathy, compassion, and gratitude for what they have.
Returning to Hoa Binh, the project left its mark at Van Son Secondary School in Lac Son District. Thanks to the initiative, the newly designed library space has drawn more students and even served as a venue for classes and experiential activities.
Messages and pictures from these schools, such as “students eagerly crowding the library” or “teachers and students are so happy,” along with heartfelt thanks, serve as motivation for “A Hundred Libraries – One Dream” to continue expanding its map of love and knowledge. As Astrid Lindgren, the author of Pippi Longstocking, once said, “Children create miracles when they read,” Olympia will keep empowering children to create their own miracles.
