Uniform and school stationery

Students can purchase school equpiment at the school bookstore.

Uniform requirements (uniforms must be purchased at Olympia):

  • White long/short sleeve shirt.
  • Black blazer.
  • Purple polo shirt.
  • Summer and winter P.E. kit.
  • Long and short sleeve sports shirt.
  • Grey shorts for boys.
  • Grey skirts for girls.
  • Knitted gilet, black sweater and hoodie.

 

Required from outside retailer.

  • Black shoes,
  • Boots or trainers.
  • Black socks.
  • Black or skin coloured leggings.
  • Black belt.

Policy about dress code in school

Primary, secondary level

  • Clean and ironed uniform
  • Hats are only allowed for outdoor activities, not in the building
  • Clothing must be appropriate to Olympia and Vietnamese culture
  • Clothing must be discreetly dressed, with no tassels, no torns, no puncture
  • Clean, tidy, and natural-colored nail
  • Hair must be neat and clean, with no styling, no attractive colors. Male students’ hair needs to be neat and of average length (not reaching eyebrows, no longer than the middle of the ears, not covering the collar), no tie-up.
  • Nature-colored lipstick
  • Male students are not allowed to wear earring
  • In the winter, when the weather is cold and the temperature is low, the school will send an announcement to parents and students about uniforms.
  • Students wear vestments in the weekly school assembly, the first day of school, and special days (which will be announced by the school).
  • Students wear culture uniforms every day
  • Students wear sports uniforms when studying P.E or when are asked to wear them by the school.
  • Students wear polo/ culture uniform/ grade uniform with their trainers on special occasions ( will be announced by the school).

High school

  • On Monday and special occasions, students wear vestments.
  • From Tuesday to Friday, students wear cultural uniforms according to the following instructions. Polo can be worn with school shorts/ pants or school skirts and black shoes (not necessarily leather shoes). Leather shoes are only required when students wear shirts
  • On Friday, students can wear polo or grade uniform (allowed by the Board of the School) with school shorts/ pants and school skirts, black shoes. Female students must not wear skirts with lengths less than 5cm from their knees, male students must wear belts.
  • During special events and picnics, students wear according to the requirement of those events.
  • In the winter, when the weather is cold and the temperature is low, the school will send an announcement to parents and students about uniforms.
  • Hair must be neat and clean, with no styling, no bright colors, no highlight. Students who dye their hair intentionally will be asked to dye their hair back within 1 week and get punished according to the school policy.
  • Expensive jewelry cannot be worn. The hair of male students cannot grow over their ears. Female and male must wear earrings with length less than 1cm and can only have 1 earring per ear, no other body piercing.

Olympia students are asked to come back home and change their clothes or buy in the Bookstore, removing their accessories if they do not follow the above rules.
