The Conrad Challenge is an international competition that emphasizes the application of science, technology, and innovation to address impactful global issues. This creative platform serves as a launchpad for young scientific talents and is supported by mentors from prestigious organizations such as NASA, Dell Technology, Microsoft, and universities like MIT, Stanford, and Harvard. The annual competition attracts thousands of students from around the world.
At this year's Conrad Challenge, the Olympia student group consisting of Đinh Mai Linh, Hoang Anh Thu (both 10th graders), Vu Ngo Ha Anh, Nguyen Dao Phuong Nhi, and Do Gia Phuc (all 11th graders) presented their project "Patch Straw." Their idea of using straw to make bandages impressed the judges, earning them the Conrad Innovator Award.
With this achievement, the five high school Olympians have received valuable scholarships to study at prestigious American universities such as Florida Institute of Technology; Clarkson University ; Charleston College - Top 4 public schools in Southern U.S.
Congratulations to the Olympia Science Team on their accomplishment, and may this serve as motivation for teachers and students to continue their exciting and fulfilling journey of scientific inquiry!
