Give it your all...

Discussing work during an intense pandemic, taking on a challenging project for their age, resolving conflicts that arise when working in a group... These were the difficulties that the International Diploma Program (IDP) for the 2021-2025 school year experienced in the project of translating and publishing a copyrighted book called "Taking Flight" as part of the "Lifetime Project". After 4 years of implementation, the "young translators" have achieved well-deserved rewards: completely translated a book of over 200 pages, published over 150 printed copies, and completed a project that made a lifetime mark.
Olympian Quynh Anh shared that the beginning of the project was the most worrying time for them. The number of members in the project was not stable because some students changed classes, so there were tasks that required flexibility and mutual support. They then embarked on a meticulous process of editing the manuscript, designing the book cover, and collaborating with teachers until the final translation was ready for printing. It was difficult but also an opportunity, and after the meticulous book translation journey, the Olympians have matured and learned valuable lessons.
Sharing about what the students learned after the book translation project, Ms. Pham Le Thuy - OIDP Operations Manager also expressed: "'Life Project' is a long-term project that requires a lot of efforts. There are successes but also challenges along the way. Through this project, they will gain new knowledge and experiences. But more than that, they will have more memories with their friends, so that when they look back on their high school years, they will feel extremely meaningful..."
Youth is a fleeting and precious chapter in life, a time to strive wholeheartedly without regrets. The Olympians experienced moments of stress, confusion, and discouragement throughout their journey. Yet, the successful publication of "Taking Flight" stands as a testament to their resilience and unwavering dedication. These years will forever be etched in their memories as a testament to a youth well spent and a project that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact.
