Nurturing Vietnamese values at Olympia
28 January, 2026
Like a pair of wings that empower Olympians to soar confidently into the world, alongside global competencies, Vietnamese identity at Olympia is not confined to textbooks, isolated lessons, or symbolic celebrations. It is a journey nurtured every day - from the early years of childhood through secondary education, until students are ready to step onto the global stage. This identity flows quietly yet persistently across the campus, woven into learning spaces, classroom lessons across subjects, field trips, learning projects, and every moment of growth in an Olympian’s journey.

Through folk games, stories of hometowns, and familiar images of craft villages, communal houses, and old streets, students first “touch” Vietnamese culture. As they grow, Olympians begin to open conversations about their roots - learning to listen, to ask questions about culture, heritage, and the values that have shaped generations of Vietnamese people. Over time, Vietnamese identity is not only inherited, but also examined, reflected upon, and reinterpreted through modern thinking and a global citizen’s mindset.

At Olympia, students engage with culture through experience - via field trips, dialogues with experts, and learning projects rooted in real life. Vietnamese identity thus becomes vivid and tangible: not merely something to learn about, but something to understand, to love, to cherish, and to carry forward.
Along this journey, Olympians are encouraged to question their origins, view heritage through contemporary perspectives, and seek ways to preserve and promote Vietnamese values in a global context. Identity, therefore, is not frozen in the past, but continually renewed through youthful perspectives, creativity, responsibility, and pride.
In the midst of global integration, Olympia chooses to guide students outward without losing sight of their roots. Because only by knowing who they are and where they come from can Olympians move forward with confidence - carrying Vietnamese identity as an inseparable part of their personal growth. In a world in constant motion, Olympia believes that only with strong roots can young people go far and go right. Vietnamese identity, therefore, is continuously nurtured under the Purple School’s roof - serving as a foundation that empowers Olympians to grow, integrate globally, and write the next chapter of Vietnam’s story in their own way.
