DePauw University, ranked 46th in the US, according to US News; Beloit College, ranked 86th in the US; University of Arizona, ranked 115th in the US; University of Cincinnati, ranked 142nd in the US and among the top 20 public research universities in the United States. These are the four universities that have sent congratulatory letters to Ngo Tuan Dung, an Olympian who has spent 10 years at his beloved purple school and is praised by teachers as a "caring boy who looks out for everyone." With a great passion for singing, Tuan Dung has tirelessly worked to prove himself in major music competitions. He won the Silver Prize at the "Youth Friendship Festival," part of the Asia-Pacific Arts Festival held in Indonesia in 2023.
As a member of the "Singing with the Clouds" Club, aside from charitable performances bringing music to highland areas in Bat Xat and Sau Chua in Lao Cai province, Tuan Dung has actively participated in major school and district-level art programs. He was an actor in the musical "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame," which garnered media attention last March, and a singer and actor in the play "Memories" for the Grade 12 graduation farewell.
Although passionately involved in the arts, Olympian Ngô Tuấn Dũng has chosen to double major in Marketing and Business Management at the University of Cincinnati. His dream is to become someone whom people, especially his parents, can trust and to continue the successful legacy of his family.
Before leaving his beloved purple school to "take flight" to the US, Ngo Tuan Dung expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his teachers and Olympia. To him, this is not only a place that has provided valuable academic and extracurricular experiences, equipping him with the necessary skills of a global citizen, but more importantly, Olympia has ignited motivation, inspired passion, and helped students understand the value of happiness and love.
Carrying cherished memories and a solid foundation from his purple school, the sentimental Tuan Dung will "depart to return" and contribute to his country and family after years of studying in the USA.
