With a passion for sports, Olympian Trinh Tuong Anh has conquered 3 US universities

- St. John's University Merit Scholarship, $112,000/4 years.

- Suffolk University Dean's Scholarship, $88,000/4 years.

- George Mason University Mason Recognition Award, $68,000/4 years.

These are the initial proud achievements of Olympian Trinh Tuong Anh (K12) in the 2024 college application. Among these universities, Tuong Anh plans to attend George Mason University, the largest public research university in Virginia (USA), which she explored during a visit in the 10th grade. Passionate about sports and considering sports as "a part of life," Tuong Anh has chosen to major in Sport Management in university. She aspires to organize large and small sports events and tournaments, providing more opportunities for young "athletes" to satisfy their passion and engage in camaraderie with like-minded friends.

"I started playing sports in elementary school, and from middle school to high school, my daily life and academic life have always been closely connected to sports. Despite being tired while doing sports, the cheerful spirit from friends always makes me feel excited and thrilled. Despite tearful training sessions before competitions, it helped me build resilience, determination, courage, and confidence to overcome limits I had never thought of before," said Trinh Tuong Anh, a member of the volleyball team, the champion of the Hanoi International Schools Cup in 2022 and the HAC Basketball Cup in 2023.

In feedback letters from the three universities to Tuong Anh, they all express their impression of Olympian's academic achievements. For two consecutive years (grades 10 and 11), she achieved the title of Excellent Student with average grades of 4.02 and 4.03, respectively. This is the result of significant changes and tremendous efforts in a student who was once considered quite mischievous during her middle school years and was a normal student for two consecutive years.

"At Olympia, many teachers have contributed to positively changing my personality and attitude towards life and learning," the Olympian shared. She mentioned that Ms. Dang Thu Huong, the middle school math teacher, who helped her overcome the fear of math; Coach Dominique Grant helped her take sports activities seriously; Ms. Trinh, the geography teacher and advisor, provided guidance in both academics and personal life. 

"Especially, Ms. Tuong Phuong - one of the four founders of Olympia, also my mother - has always been there to support, encourage, and together with the teachers, created many opportunities for me and all Olympians to pursue our passions and develop ourselves in a comfortable and creative learning environment. For me, Olympia is home; it holds the memories of 16 years from preschool to high school, where I have experienced and discovered my strengths and weaknesses, nurtured dreams, met many friends, and teachers whom I will always remember, no matter where I go," Olympian Trinh Tuong Anh shared.

Proud of this diligent and responsible student, who is willing to support friends and actively contribute to school activities, the entire Olympia family wishes Tuong Anh to conquer her dreams and successfully overcome the challenges ahead.
