CAPTAIN OF OLYMPIA FOOTBALL TEAM, NGUYEN ANH DUC, HAS SUCCESSFULLY CONQUERED 4 TOP UNIVERSITIES IN THE US
In the early days of April, good news came to Nguyen Anh Duc, the defender and spiritual leader of the Olympia football team. He received admission offers from 4 top universities in the US; among them, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities offered Olympian a $60,000 scholarship for 4 years of study.
1. Purdue University - ranked 43rd in National Universities, according to USNews 2024;
2. University of Minnesota Twin Cities - ranked 53rd:
3 Pennsylvania State University, ranked 60th;
4. University of Illinois Chicago, ranked 82nd.
Regularly following football matches and always paying attention to statistics about players and teams, the Olympia football team's defender has chosen to study Data Analytics and Information Systems at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He hopes to open a sports product business in the future to nurture his passion for the ball while working with these interesting numbers.
Since joining Olympia in 7th grade, Nguyen Anh Duc has always received trust from teachers, friends, and classmates because of his responsibility, enthusiasm, willingness to listen, and share with everyone.
"In the football team, Anh Duc is the spiritual fulcrum of the members. He has professional skills and good leadership qualities on the field. In every situation, Anh Duc always motivates and creates confidence for his teammates," said Mai Xuan Linh, the head of the Olympia men's football team.
"Ability to work well in a team", "problem-solving skills from multiple perspectives", along with years of achieving Excellent Student awards, are also strengths in the profile of Olympian Nguyen Anh Duc that have led the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to decide to award him a scholarship.
In August, the captain of the Olympia men's football team will "take off" to the US to pursue his dreams. Carrying with him countless memories and valuable experiences from the purple school, Nguyen Anh Duc, we hope, will continue to achieve more success and happiness on the next journey
