Grade 7 re-presented history through the play "The sens of the time"

At Olympia, preserving Vietnamese cultural identity is always one of the key educational goals, along with developing global competencies for students. In Semester 1 academic program, History - Geography - Literture - Fine Arts - English of grade 7 have a meeting point and connection towards the topic of preserving a cultural values and celebrating national history with the learning project "Touching the past - Connecting the future".

In this learning project, Grade 7 Olympians transform themselves into historical characters recreating a heroic era of the nation (Dinh - Early Le - Ly dynasties) with the play "The Sage of the Past". On Olympia theater stage, students transformed the knowledge they learned into unique and creative stage ideas about four historical figures: Dinh Tien Hoang, Duong Van Nga, Le Dai Hanh and Ly Cong.

The show was witnessed by a large number of parents who were moved and admired when they saw their children's understanding and love for Vietnamese history and culture manifest on stage.

Through this way of learning, students can naturally, deeply and thoroughly acquire knowledge of subject lessons. They also nurture national pride and love for their homeland, appreciate traditional values and live more responsibly towards themselves, their families and their homeland.
