Olympia Teachers and Students Achieved Many Prestigious Music Awards

Recently, alongside their intense focus on final exams, the teachers and students of Olympia still achieved many proud music awards. Olympians Dao Phuong Mai and Dao Cong Khanh, along with teacher Le Tuan Cuong - in charge of the RAS Club, had the honor of receiving the First Prize in the "Composition of Songs about Gender Equality" competition. This is a prestigious competition organized by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in Vietnam in collaboration with the Center for Media Resources and Environment of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The competition attracted over 40 works from diverse participants of various ages across the country.


Surpassing a series of strong contenders, the song "Lover" by Olympians won with its unique, artistically rich lyrics, incorporating a meaningful message about improving gender equality in the age of industrialization and modernization. With this First Prize, the teachers and students of Olympia received a cash prize and a 3-day, 2-night trip to South Korea to visit the UN Women's Excellence Training Center in the capital, Seoul.



Earlier, the Olympia Choir also won the Second Prize in the Choir competition in the multi-district level. The students were also invited by the U.S. Embassy to perform at the Vietnam-U.S. Friendship Exchange Program at Thang Long Citadel.

So much honor and pride for the teachers and students of Olympia, right? These will be vibrant pieces adding to the already colorful "painting" of Olympia's 20-year journey of happiness.
