20 February, 2024

The English theater project "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" is an interdisciplinary learning activity involving Literature, English, and Music with the goal of bringing classical literature closer to students. Throughout the preparation and production of the musical, the Olympians diligently practiced and had the opportunity to learn from various experts in theater and acting. As part of the project's activities, recently, Olympians K9-12 had the chance to meet with Ms. Philippa Creagh Wood - a vocalist from Hanoi Voices International Choir, during the training session.

During this session, the Olympians presented some outstanding excerpts from the musical. Ms. Philippa praised Olympians K9-12 for their vocal talent, stage presence, and the energy they brought, while also providing suggestions on interaction with audiences and expressing emotions during performances. This valuable feedback helps our "actors" and “actresses” gain more knowledge and skills to further refine their work.

Throughout the musical production, Olympians not only gained knowledge in literature and the arts but also developed various skills such as acting, English language, teamwork, leadership, communication, technical preparation, props, financial management, and more. With the thorough and serious preparation of the Olympians, the performance of "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" promises to evoke many emotions. Let's eagerly await the musical, scheduled to be staged at the end of this academic year!
