OLYMPIA'S VOICE: GRADE 11 ASSERTING STRENGTH

"Nobody is perfect from the start line, sometimes people have to go through a bit of shaping, and a bit of changing, to be able to achieve what we are having today." This inspirational quote by Au Gia Minh (Class 11E1.1) serves as a declaration for the challenging yet prideful journey of the 11th-grade students in the English project "Olympia's Voice".
Beyond academic goals and assessment, Olympia’s Voice marks a significant step in the personal development of every Grade 11 Olympian. The two-month project, involving various activities to be presented before an audience, has empowered the students to confidently step out of their comfort zones and show their selves.
From the enthusiastic teamwork in scriptwriting, classroom rehearsals, to delivering presentations in front of other classes, the outstanding Top 8 Grade 11 Olympians were selected to perform their presentations in the showcase event held last weekend. With three key keywords: "Self," "Change," and "Olympia," the top 8 delivered energetic and inspiring speeches. Each student brought forth their unique story, perspective, and emotions, clearly demonstrating their "voice" and individuality.
Olympian Nguyen Vu Minh Chau left a lasting impression with the statement: "It might sound strange but brave doesn’t mean being alone, or doing everything on your own, it is also when you dare to accept your own failure and dare to ask for help." Olympian Vu Khanh An stirred emotions with a touching and intriguing story about "love language." Nguyen Ngoc Ha My elicited laughter from the audience at the Opera House when recalling beautiful memories under the purple-tinted school roof...
More than just presentations or exams for grading purposes, Olympia’s Voice is the clearest evidence of the progress of Grade 11 Olympians. Overcoming self-doubt and worries, the students stood strong on stage to assert themselves confidently. Undoubtedly, not only the top 8 but every member of the 11th grade has grown, become more resilient, and confident after this unique English learning experience.
